Swimming Galore

Allison has been doing a lot of swimming this summer.  Every morning for the last six weeks she swam from 9:15-10 at MVP on the swim team.  She participated in 5 swim meets and made it to the finals where she placed third in the 25 yard freestyle.  She also participated in her first triathlon this summer with two of her cousins.  She had to swim 100 yards (4 lengths), bike 2 1/4 miles and run 1 1/4 miles.  She finished second in her age group and had a big smile on her face the whole time.  We were very, very proud.  She was super excited to get a medal for finishing and a second place medal for her age group.  She is trying out tennis this week and will likely do indoor soccer in the winter, but right now, swimming is her favorite thing to do and she has gotten pretty good at it:)  Craig and I ran the Reeds Lake run in July and Allison and Connor were able to do the kids' runs as well.  It was a great family day!
